Women's Circle

The Women’s Circle appreciates diversity in our members as we seek to enrich each others’ lives by sharing our insights and experiences and learning together about topics we want to explore. Our group structure and gathering format is similar to the Women’s Sojourn, but we are a bit more informal. Our programs are member-led, with the occasional guest speaker, outing, or gathering at a member’s home. Our Winter and Summer Solstice programs are shared with the Women’s Sojourn group in a joint celebration of these seasonal rites. We meet on the third Thursday of every month in the UU church nursery from 7 to 9 p.m.

Membership in the group is not limited to church members, but others are usually recommended to the group by a current member.  We ask for active participation, including bringing thoughts, quotes, and other items to share related to the monthly program, as well as light refreshments.  Each program is led by one or two members, who are responsible for setting up the altar and giving the group direction regarding preparation for the meeting.  Our coordinator keeps our member list updated and sends out monthly reminders about programs.  Email womenscircle@richmonduu.org for more information.
