Lifespan Religious Education
Welcome to the Lifespan Religious Education (RE) program at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Richmond. We hope that you will want to participate in the many activities offered. We are dedicated to providing a welcoming, all-inclusive, consistent program. We strive to make it a place people will choose to attend because it is inviting, enjoyable, and enriching. We recognize and respect individual differences and understand that we learn from one another and are nourished and enriched by one another.
The religious education program offers an engaging variety of learning experiences for each age and stage of life – nursery through adult. All participants must be registered.
Children and youth classes are divided by age and grade and are appropriate to developmental needs and abilities.
The Religious Education program is grounded in the values represented by the Statement of Principles adopted by the congregations of the UUA. The principles have been adapted into the rainbow principles for the children and youth of the program.
Please note: To better utilize classroom and meeting space, many religious education classes are now offered in the lower level of the church. We will be happy to relocate classes if needed. Let us know if you have a special need.
