      <description>This class is for those who want to strengthen their life in their UU faith and become more connected to this community. Through collaboration with Rev. Jeanne, students will gain a clearer understanding of this religious home and the opportunities within it. Students will draw upon media, reflection, practice and participation to create opportunities that match their interests, and address concerns, doubts, hopes and habits in an encouraging atmosphere. Class will also examine some of the practices and traditions of Unitarian Universalism, their origins and their effect on our community.

Students will experience the Bible as a transformative and transcendent text, rather than as a didactic text; explore the Hebrew and Christian Bibles from Genesis to Revelation; and use Richard Holloway&rsquo;s How to Read the Bible ($11.95) as a guide.
