We have many opportunities for involvement at First UU of Richmond. There are education opportunities for all ages on Sunday mornings, through a variety of adult religious education classes, and through our Wednesday night adult enrichment program.
We offer a special one-hour class for new persons interested in our church and our religion entitled First at First. The class meets at 12:30pm (after 2nd service) on the 1st Sunday of each month. First at First offers introductory information about our congregation, our programs, and ways to learn more about Unitarian Universalism. First at First is free and opent to all. No registration required, and child care will be available.
Wanting to have discussions or practice in a particular tradition? Then you are welcome to visit our Buddhist, Humanist, and Taoist groups which meet regularly. We also have a contemplative Vespers service on Wednesdays at 5:30 PM, in addition to our Sunday services.
Whether you are looking to deepen your involvement with our church community or with the Greater Richmond community, we offer many groups at all different times during the week which provide fellowship, learning opportunities, spiritual enrichment, and the opportunity to give of yourself to those in need. Keep checking our calendar to see how you can become involved.
First Unitarian Universalist Church is a multi-generational community of seekers looking to live honestly, gently, and with optimism about life and humanity. Join us!
If you’d like to visit, and you have children that will attend our Sunday morning Religious Education classes while you attend services, please click here to access a registration form to bring with you.
