Covenant is one of our deepest expressions of shared ministry, and the lifeblood of Unitarian Universalism. It is how we come to a shared understanding of how we will be with one another, whether for a day or for years to come. Our covenants are living and changeable, meant to adapt and grow as the needs of those whose relationships they (pre)serve need and grow. And our covenants are not meant to be a one-time practice of writing and putting on paper, but a moment-by-moment relational and intentional practice.
Practicing Covenant will explore what covenant is (and is not), different kinds of covenant, and why covenant is an important part of Unitarian Universalism. We will also share a variety of tools and strategies for creating covenants and discuss ideas about living and practicing covenant every day.

This class is recommended for all congregants. If you are ready to deepen in your own understanding and practice of covenant, join us on Sunday, September 14, 12:30 – 2:30 PM in the Great Hall. You are welcome to bring food for yourself (nut-free), something with which to take notes if you so desire, and anything you need to help yourself be present (coloring, knitting, fidgets, etc.). Handouts will also be provided. So we can plan for materials, please register with this Google Form link here by September 7. The class will be led by Rev. Anna Tulou.
