After a very positive response last January, the First UU Small Group Fair will be held following worship on September 21, 2025. In the spirit of shared ministry and building community, the Small Group Fair is a great opportunity for both newcomers and longtime congregants to explore our diverse offerings and ways to engage and connect. The plan is for the Small Group Fair to take place in coordination with the Pathways program twice per program year. (The September 21 fair will be followed by a second fair on January 25, 2026).

All First UU-based small groups are invited to participate. In order to have space reserved for your group, your group must be congregation-based, open to new members, and RSVP by Saturday September 6 – this is not far away, so please talk to your groups now. If you do not RSVP, your group will not have space reserved at the Fair, and we want everyone to have a chance to participate. Slots will be filled on a first-come first-served basis, so please RSVP using this Google Registration Form https://forms.gle/oJMVxaZe3XpxT2bw7 as soon as possible. We will share more information with the groups shortly after the September 6 deadline, so you will have time to plan.

Also, since there are going to be two small group fairs this program year (and because space is limited), you may want to discuss with your group whether you want to do both or just pick one fair in which to participate. If your group is closed for most of the year but welcomes new members once or twice per year, you would be able to participate in the fair that aligns with when you are welcoming new members.

Finally, we will have a spot at the fair this year for prospective (not-yet-formed) groups to generate and gauge interest – so let us know if you want to start a group by contacting Rev. Anna at anna.tulou@richmonduu.org.

And if you would like to volunteer to help with planning or setup, likewise contact Rev. Anna. We look forward to hearing from you and celebrating our vibrant community!
