Why Give to First UU?

First Unitarian Universalist Church of Richmond (“FUUR”) provides us all a treasured sanctuary, an affirming support system, a network of friends and a consistent refueling station for our minds and spirits. We hope you agree. Although we come with diverse life experiences and backgrounds, we find common ground in our values and covenants. We hope that you enjoy our unique and treasured community as a member or friend of this congregation. We must preserve it.  To that end, it is time for our annual demonstration of commitment to each other as we pool our resources together to sustain and grow the work of our beloved congregation. It is a ministry with physical assets and skilled employees that require financial support from each of us. We need money to maintain our operations and facilities and pay our selfless staff for their time and talents. There are several ways to make your financial commitment to FUUR:

If you would like to discuss your pledge or have questions about previous contributions, the Generosity Team will be available before and after worship in the lobby for individual conversations/consultations.  If you prefer a conversation by phone, go to Sign-Up Genius for a Tuesday afternoon or a Thursday evening call from Lynn Pappas or Denise Rimes.  We’ll be happy to provide any information we have or do any research that will help you with the pledge process.  (All conversations are confidential.)  We are not financial advisors, so we are not able to discuss financial implications of your decisions.
