Please join us for the following sessions, part of our conversations with Churches for Middle East Peace. Sundays, after worship service, 11:30am:

  • May 17, “How did we get here? The making of Israel and Palestine” with Dr Faedah Totah, VCU Associate Professor, School of World Studies
  • June 21, “The Art of Resistance: Nonviolent movements for Just Peace” with Leigh Ann Luscan, Director of Lifespan Faith Formation
  • TBD (early August), “Antisemitism, Zionism, and the Lost Diversity of Jewish Political Life” with Zev Mishell, co-editor of Jewish Antisemitisim: A Historical Anthology

Mark your calendars for the 3rd in this three-part series, and plan to join us at First UU on August 9 at 11:30 am (after the service) for the next scheduled Middle East Peace conversation. Please join us prepared to learn, share perspectives, and engage in open & respectful dialogue. The covenant for the discussions will be reviewed and adjusted as needed at the start of each session. They are scheduled to begin after service in the Lower Level, so please pack a nut-free! lunch.
