PATHS Into Community
Small Groups & Community Groups
Join us in weaving the threads of beloved community together one step at a time!
PATHS Into Community is a membership engagement initiative at First UU that is meant to foster connection and spiritual growth by matching your unique talents and interests with meaningful opportunities in our shared ministry.
Whether you're eager to dive into service roles that ignite your passion or seeking a gentle introduction to new friends, PATHS Into Community is an opportunity for each of us to contribute to the vibrant tapestry of our church, community, and world. Our goal is to enrich your journey within our community in a way that is authentic and fulfilling for you.
It all starts with getting to know more about you!
Through personalized one-on-one conversations with a dedicated PATHS Guide, we'll explore your background, passions, and aspirations to discover and connect with opportunities at First UU that resonate with you.
Rooted in the mission of our shared ministry, the PATHS acronym represents five categories of activities that guide our collective efforts in the work of our church:
P: Practicing Radical Hospitality: Embrace the spirit of openness and inclusion as we welcome all who seek community within our walls.
A: Awakening Hearts and Minds: Engage in meaningful dialogue, reflection, and education to deepen our understanding of ourselves, each other, and the world around us.
T: Taking Care of One Another: Cultivate a culture of care and support within our community, where each member feels valued, heard, and uplifted.
H: Healing a Broken World: Extend our compassion and resources beyond our walls to address systemic injustices and alleviate suffering in our local and global communities.
S: Securing our Church’s Future: Commit to stewarding our resources and ensuring the longevity of our beloved community for generations to come.
Join us in weaving the threads of beloved community together by building a more connected and compassionate world, one step at a time.
