First UU is excited to host its second annual Community Justice Fair on March 8 after worship, 11 am to 12:30 pm. Over 20 different organizations will be there to share information about their work, making this a great opportunity not only for educating and connecting community members with opportunities to support and serve, but also for seeding potential collaborations and resource-sharing between organizations and initiatives with overlapping missions!
We hope you will join us – and invite others to come as well! In addition to the justice booths, in there courtyard there will be a justice-themed chalk mural for all ages to work on, and Jamie will be leading a protest song singalong. Let’s do some good work together!
First UU is looking for participants for our upcoming Community Justice Fair on March 8 after worship, 11am to 12:30 pm. If you are involved in an organization doing justice work in our local community or a UU-wide justice initiative (such as Side with Love, UU the Vote, etc), please consider signing up to participate! Participating organizations must be non-partisan and non-profit. First UU will provide table and chairs, and the organization will run the booth during the fair.
This is a great opportunity not only for educating and connecting congregants and citizens with opportunities to support and serve, but also for seeding potential collaborations and resource-sharing between organizations and initiatives with overlapping missions.
Organizations are asked to register no later than February 22. Space is limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, click here on Google forms.
